The technicians of the Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo Lazio e Molise and the Riserva Monte Genzana Alto Gizio have captured the 8-year-old bear, also known as F.129, which frequents the territory of Pettorano sul Gizio especially in autumn, to monitor her movements.
It is useful to acquire information on the movements of bears because their conservation depends on the capacity of the population to grow and expand, especially through ecological corridors between suitable areas for their presence.
