Yesterday, at the Bear Museum in Pizzone we hosted the event “Mainarde: stories of men and wolves”. Letizia Di Iorio, mayor of the municipality of Pizzone, introduced the initiative with a warm welcome and brought the greetings of the Director of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. Then, Salviamo l’Orso and Rewilding Apennines presented their objectives and activities. Corrado Guacci, Chairman of the Italian Society of History of Wildlife “G. Altobello”, conducted the main speech of the day: an interesting historical excursus about the relations between man and wolf, rich in historical documents and images, the outcome of long archive researches, which produced stimulating debates and exchanges amongst the many participants.
