A few weeks ago, poisoned baits claimed victims among cats and dogs in Pescocostanzo and today history repeated itself in Capistrello, where Marsicalive gave news of several poisoned dogs and a fox.
The vile tradition of the use of poison – a very serious threat to biodiversity and the people’s safety – to “manage” animals which somebody deems harmful or annoying still finds refuge in certain sadistic and ignorant minds that continue to operate in a climate of widespread silence and ignorance affecting many local communities, certain that they will always remain unpunished.
It is never too late to hope that detailed reports and thorough investigations will bring those responsible for these cruel and perverse actions to justice and put an end to certain nefarious practices once and for all.
