Drop by Drop project comes alive. Salviamo l’Orso’s volunteers have started monitoring and mapping fountains and small pools of water in the mountains.
The project, financed by Eoca, aims to restore the water sources to protect biodiversity.
First actions on the ground were about monitoring the health of water sources in the Riserva Monte Genzana Alto Gizio and in Valle Peligna.
The volunteers have measured the pools and their water level, they have checked if the fountains are working, if there is enough water in the water basins and if these water sources are used by wildlife. All valuable information to plan the restoration program.
