Pupils visited the Bear Museum

23 Aprile 2019 | Non categorizzato

The last week, at the Bear Museum in Pizzone we hosted kids from the kindergarten of Cerro la Volturno (IS). To get children to know the Marsican bear all the senses are needed: caressing the hair, observing the details of its body (thanks to two stuffed specimens), “playing a resin bear” and singing loud to awake it from hibernation, tasting some honey candies, because bear loves honey! Then, games must not be missing, such as the “catch-up” that the bear does chasing its own favorite food (interpreted by the children), storytelling, watching videos and drawing a personal postcard that kids can bring home: the footprint of “their own” bear.

The enthusiasm and the affection of these pupils demonstrate that we are working well to sensitize those generations that tomorrow must pass from the sympathy for this special animal to the need for protecting it. Today is the World Earth Day that has teaching how to protect endangered species amongst its goals.

Thank heartedly to the teachers from Cerro al Volturno for having chosen this experience for their kids!
