Before mid-August we replaced our road sign “Speed kills bears and yourselves: slow down”, which had been stolen in the section of SR 479 between Anversa degli Abruzzi and Villalago. Since they are so beautiful that they fly like hot cakes, we have created a handy version, which can be purchased and contribute in this way to our road ecology project. You can find this merchandise-road sign in Scanno at La bottega di Grazia, in Pettorano sul Gizio at the offices of the Monte Genzana Alto Gizio Nature Reserve and the Cooperative Valleluna, in Opi at the Val Fondillo Visitor Centre and in Pescasseroli at Wildlife Adventures and Ecotur. Whoever steals them harms the bear and all road users, even oneself.
