Once its defensive function of livestock or reforestation has ceased, barbed wire, as well as the mountain wells or the ghost nets at sea, turns into a dangerous barrier in which wildlife can get trapped, as in the case of the griffon vulture in this video.
We hope to go back to the mountain as soon as possible, when this health emergency will end, to carry on our activity of barbed wire removal and avoid that such events repeat.
