We are delighted to announce that Salviamo l’Orso’s project “Bees in action for the Marsican bear” has been successfully completed. On Saturday 15th September, our secretary Angela Tavone presented it during “Rostaland 2018”, the annual meeting of Abrussels – the association of Abruzzo people living in Bruxelles – that has sponsored it. This culinary event took place in a nice city park of the Belgium capital, involving hundreds of participants. It is the third year that Abrussels has organized this initiative to promote its homeland, Abruzzo. The Marsican brown bear could not miss. Thus, Angela was invited to represent Salviamo l’Orso and speak about the Marsican bear and the conservation goals and actions of our association. In particular, she explained how this project, connecting the bees and the bear, aims at spreading a good practice to recover the woodlands after the devastating fire of the Morrone Mountain in summer 2017.

One of the project goals was to produce a video to promote both the cultural and environmental heritage of the area and the initiative itself. Here we share the link to the video and we seize this opportunity to inform you that Salviamo l’Orso has launched a new video channel on YouTube. We would like you to subscribe, in order to receive notice whenever we upload our videos.
