Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise NP turned 90 this year, in order to celebrate this important anniversary, the park has published a video made from footage from the park rangers, which features its most precious inhabitant: the marsican bear. Video: seven minutes in silence
During a surveillance duty, specifically arranged on occasion of the beginning of the hunting season, rangers in Simbruini Nature Park seized arms and ammunitions from two hunters who had been caught hunting inside the preserve, in the same area where, during the last weeks, the presence of a marsican brown bear has been repeatedly reported.
An appeal to all citizens for the safeguard of this unique species, an Italian and world heritage.
